Things to Carry :

Light cotton or linen clothes, breathable fabric survives the humidity better than anything else
A light stole or scarf, useful for temple visits and sudden evening chill near the lake
Comfortable walking sandals with grip, the ghats and cobbled streets are not flat
A compact umbrella or raincoat if travelling between June and September
